Camp Concord

Camp CONCORD COVID-19

Dear Camp Concord Campers,

After careful evaluation, the City of Concord has made the difficult decision to cancel all Camp Concord, South Lake Tahoe programs this season (May – October) including traditional Family Camp, group bookings, and specialty camp programs; 50 & Better, Mother-Son and Labor Day Escape. This was an agonizing decision as we value our campers and know how important the Camp Concord experience is to your summer traditions. In making this decision we needed to consider the health and safety of our campers and staff which is always our top priority as well as social distancing and group gathering size restrictions.

The City will be processing refunds for any monies paid for your summer camp experience. Refunds are currently being issued in order of reservation date. We ask that you please be patient as this may take us a short while to complete. Refunds by checks could take up to 3 weeks and credit card refunds will appear on statements approximately three or four days after being processed. Please note that any dollar amounts shown on your receipt inside parenthesis are in fact the credit being refunded back to you due to cancellations as a result of COVID-19.

I am truly going to miss seeing all our returning campers and meeting new campers this summer! I want to stay in touch and hope you will join me in new Facebook page challenges, some virtual camp activities, sharing your camp photos or stories, and memories throughout the camp season. I have been calling by phone and reaching out to campers individually as well as via email to help ensure everyone is notified in a timely manner. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or just to say hello. I would enjoy hearing from each of you and can be reached by email at camp.concord@cityofconcord.org or by phone at 925-671-3006.

Please continue to stay healthy and safe and I hope to see you next summer at Camp Concord, the “Happiest Place on Dirt”!

Sincerely,

Matthew Fragoso
