Teens learn babysitting skills at Saturday class
Concord Community and Recreation Services will offer a teen babysitting course through The HealthSource at KidSake on February 20 and 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Centre Concord, 5298 Clayton Road.
On the first day of the two-day course, participants learn adult, child and infant CPR. Upon successful completion of the CPR training, teens receive a CPR card through the American Heart Association.
The second day of the course covers safety and childcare, simple First Aid, and information about what to expect of children at different ages and stages of development. Participants will also practice diapering, bathing, burping and other practical skills. The class is designed for ages 12 to 16 years.
