Concord City offices closed for furlough days
City of Concord offices will be closed Friday, March 25 for an unpaid furlough day. As a cost savings measure, City employees are taking 13 unpaid furlough days during the year, which equates to a five percent reduction in pay. Offices will be closed for additional 2011 furlough days on April 22, July 1, Aug. 12, Oct. 7, Nov. 21-23, Dec. 23 and Dec. 27-30.
Offices to be closed include the Civic Center complex (1950 Parkside Drive), Public Works (1455 Gasoline Alley), Engineering (2151 Salvio St.), the Concord Senior Center (2727 Parkside Circle), Concord Community Pool (3501 Cowell Rd.), and Police Headquarters (1350 Galindo St.). Police patrol and dispatch operations will not be affected by the closure.
Centre Concord (5298 Clayton Rd.) and Willow Pass Community Center (2748 East Olivera Rd.) will be closed except for previously scheduled events and classes.
