Concord's proposed zoning changes available online
The City of Concord is in the process of updating its Development Code. The new code will bring zoning and development regulations in line with the City’s General Plan, which was updated in 2007.
As part of this process, the City has proposed new zoning designations for all properties within the city. Property owners can get additional information and view the new designations for their property online at www.concordcode.org. The link to the property look-up feature is in the first box in the “News and Updates” column on the right side of the web page.
“There will be no substantial change for most single-family residential properties, although the zoning designation may be different,” says Interim Planning Manager Tambri Heyden. “Our goal is to bring zoning regulations in line with the City's General Plan, which will help us provide better customer service for anyone coming to the City with a project. We want to clarify what can be built where, giving project proponents better information about what to expect from the City when they are putting together a new project.”
