Ribbon cutting for new dog park, bocce courts Nov. 5
On Saturday, Nov. 5, the community is invited to attend the ribbon cutting for a new dog park and bocce courts at Baldwin Park on Parkside Circle in Concord. The event will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Refreshments will be served.
Information booths featuring services for the family dog will available, and a blessing of the animals will be conducted by Rev. Pam Redding of Saint Michael & AllĀ Angels Episcopal Church.
The Concord Bocce Federation will conduct demonstrations for those new to the game, and offer information about the organization. The bocce courts in Newhall Park are often overcrowded, so the new courts will be a welcome addition for the many teams in the area looking for a place to play.
For more information about the grand opening, contact Parks and Recreation Director Joan Carrico, (925) 671-3440.
