News Release

November 30, 2012

New publication coming to mailboxes soon

Concord residents will be receiving a new publication in their mailboxes over the next week. The City has combined its popular City News newsletter with the Parks and Recreation Activity Guide, reducing mailing and production costs by $58,000 a year. Combining the two publications is part of the City's effort to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

The Concord City News and Activity Guide will be produced three times a year, in December, April and August. Residents will find information and news about City projects as well as listings and registration for Parks and Recreation classes and programs. The debut publication includes a combination of winter and spring classes for 2013. Residents are encouraged to keep their copies and reference them in registering for classes in the new year as the next guide will not be available until April 2013. The publication is also available at any time online, at Click on the "Register for Class" icon in the "Most Requested" column on the home page.
