Join Bike to Work Day Thursday, May 11

On Thursday, May 11, over 100,000 bike commuters are expected to pedal to work as part of the 23rd annual Bay Area Bike to Work Day. Riders can take a break en route at 400 Energizer Stations located on main bikeways throughout the nine Bay Area counties. Energizer stations stock free beverages, snacks, give-aways and friendly faces to encourage riders on their way.

City of Concord staff will host two of the 11 Concord stations this year from 7 to 10 a.m. As for the last four years, City staff will host a station at the intersection of Monument Boulevard and Mohr Lane. New this year is a second location at the North Concord BART Station.

Bike Concord will host a Super Bike Tent and Energizer Station from 4 to 7 p.m. in Todos Santos Plaza that evening, coinciding with the opening night of the annual free Music and Market series presented by the City. The tent will also offer free repair and a demonstration of bicycle transportation setups for a variety of needs and situations.
