Changes to Mobile Home Rent Stabilization Ordinance
Background
The City of Concord is evaluating possible revisions to its Mobile Home Rent Stabilization Ordinance. Specifically, the City is considering the use of a third party hearing officer to decide special rent increase requests, in lieu of the current practice of submitting such requests to the Mobilehome Rent Review Board.
The City is also re-evaluating Consumer Price Index increases passed on to residents through automatic annual rent increases (also known as General Annual Adjustments). Finally, the City is considering limited adjustments to base rent when coaches are sold or a space becomes vacant.
