Permit Requirements
Most building, demolition and home improvement projects require a building permit. It is the responsibility of the homeowner and/or contractor to ensure that permits are received prior to beginning the work. The cost of the permit varies based on the type of work that is being completed.
Information to assist in preparing to apply for a permit is listed at right.
Please note that every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work on the site authorized by such permit is commenced within 180 days after its issuance. For more information, see Permit Expirations - Time Limitations of a Permit.
