Just a few hours from the San Francisco Bay Area, nestled high in the Sierras between the majestic shores of Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf Lake lays the perfect vacation spot for your family. For over 40 years, the City of Concord has offered youth, teen, and families the spectacular scenery of the El Dorado National Forest and the excitement of the great outdoors. Families can come for two days or up to two weeks, and youth between the ages of 8 and 14 can enjoy one-week sessions with our exceptional staff. Teens, aged 14-17 can grow and learn with two-week leadership sessions. Either way, Camp Concord is waiting to make memories for your family.

Accreditation

American Camping Association logoCamp Concord is proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). This nationally recognized accreditation program, developed by the A.C.A., focuses on program quality and health and safety issues, and requires us to review every facet of the operation. Camp Concord has voluntarily submitted to this independent appraisal done by camping experts and has earned this mark of distinction.

Directions to Camp Concord (from Concord)

  • Take 680 north across the Benicia Bridge and continue to the junction of 680 and Interstate 80.
  • Proceed east on Interstate 80 toward Sacramento, until reaching the split to Highway 50 east toward South Lake Tahoe.
  • Take Highway 50 to the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.
  • At the junction of Highways 50 and 89 North (better known as the Y just past McDonalds and Raleys Shopping Center there will be a four-way stoplight.
  • Continue straight ahead and you will be on Highway 89, also known as Emerald Bay Road.
  • Continue past Camp Richardson and over the Taylor Creek Bridge.
  • After crossing the bridge, look for the Camp Concord and Mt. Tallac Trailhead / Baldwin Beach signs.
  • Exactly 3.8 miles from the Y, turn left off the highway and then follow the signs to Camp Concord.
