The town of Todos Santos was founded in 1868 by Don Salvio Pacheco, Francisco Galindo and Francisco Pacheco, but the name was soon changed to Concord. Salvio Pacheco Square (pictured above), on Salvio Street between Grant and Mt. Diablo streets, commemorates one of Concord’s early founders. Across the street, Todos Santos Plaza continues to function as Concord’s town square as it has done since the 1860s and memorializes the name originally given to the town by its founders.
